When we were children, we spent loads of time playing. Our parents organized play dates for us and, if we weren’t eating or sleeping, we were, well, playing. During most of our day, we used our creativity, imagination, sense of humor and innate resourcefulness. Then, as we got older, playtime got shorter and shorter, and for some, it now nonexistent. Usually, this happens because we think we have no time for silly things like play. Some blame it on their demanding jobs. Others say (as if this line automatically excuses them from it): “I have kids”.
Depriving yourself of your daily dose of playtime generally seems to be a societal habit that was never questioned or thought about, so it was passed down through generations as an assumed requisite to being an adult. What we are forgetting is this: Playtime was healthy for us as children, and it is healthy for us as adults. It’s our birthright as creative beings and it is our responsibility as conscious adults to engage in it. Whether we are tired (probably due to malnourishment) or way too busy (remember, you designed your life), playtime is a must-have ingredient for a holistically healthy lifestyle. Read More…

Have you heard of the saying, “it’s better to be alone than in bad company”? This is one my mottos. Although I am happily married, I’m constantly talking to and advising women over 30 on how to find love and maintain a healthy relationship. Now more than ever, there are a lot more single women over 30 and although they are fabulous, they still approach love like they were back in the 1900s. These women aren’t spinsters, in fact, they are highly intelligent, gorgeous, independent women who are not looking to settle. Times have changed. I’m here to tell you that we are not living in the 1900’s anymore, that there is nothing wrong with you, that some women at this very time are divorced from unhappy marriages…and some are still in unfulfilled, dead-end marriages. That is not love and it’s certainly not what you want. Read More…

Single Ladies: What are you doing? Literally, what are you doing at this moment, today, with your lives? Are you dreading the upcoming V-Day? Or are you too busy living your life to have even noticed it?
Here’s a suggestion, in no uncertain terms, because we don’t sugarcoat it for you here at HLife: Instead of thinking about a day that will come and go, LIVE YOUR LIFE. Live it to the fullest, now. Do the things you dream of doing “someday” TODAY. Travel. Write. Climb that mountain. Start that business. Conquer yourself. Get informed and make the world a better place by treating yourself better. Change your attitude toward Mother Nature. None of this can happen unless you make it happen. Read More…

For so many people in the world, today, the first day of the year, means a brand new start in their lives. Hope and will power permeate the air, dreams and goals float to and from all human being’s minds, and a sense of silence and calmness flows through us. Perhaps this silence is all of us reflecting on last year, but mostly pondering what the new year will bring. From an HLife perspective, we say to you: Don’t just think about your goals and dreams and hope they come true – CREATE THEM. From your thoughts, to physical manifestation. You can make things happen, you can demand from yourself, you can expect from yourself and you can create everything out of nothing. Always remember to have your thoughts, words, and actions in alignment for the magic to happen, and work with the laws of the Universe, such as the law of Cause and Effect or the law of Rhythm…working with the Universe, not against it. Let’s also always remember that this has to be a philanthropic time, with a special focus, not just on us, but on our planet Tera (Earth). She needs us just as much as we need her. You can find out more about what this means and what you can do about it by keeping up with the HLife posts, and we will do our best to inform you, empower you, and inspire you to be the grandest version of who you are.
The HLife team wishes you much Knowledge, Understanding and Love from this year on. May the positive spiritual light of the Universe awaken all beings on this planet to return to what they have always been…Conscious Divine Beings.
Happy Conscious & Healthy New Year!!!!!

When we think of the word active, we probably think “exercise”. Physical activity is a necessary and noble pursuit, but for 2010, we’re going to broaden our perspective.
-Mentally Active: To be mentally active is to be aware of, monitoring, and in control of your thoughts. Left to its own devices, the mind will take us places we don’t want to go – to a past that no longer exists, to mistakes we made that we cannot overcome and are stuck in, to automatic behaviors we adopt from advertisements, marketing or anything else in our environment, even though it may not serve us and may even hurt us. Our task this year is to be the Lord or Lady of our Mental Kingdom. To be in control of our thoughts, to determine which ones stay, which ones go, to generate the ones we would like to see grow. In short, to become, internally in our thoughts, the person we would like to be externally. Being mentally active is to stop being guided by a wild animal and to finally take the reigns of this powerful tool and create the reality you want for yourself and others. Read More…

There is a place where mysticism and science coexist in harmony and that place is called Nature. Regardless of religion or belief and no matter what a new study shows or researcher concludes, Mother Nature – free of personal interest and human emotions – will always tell us The Truth. A set of teachings that were passed down by word of mouth for centuries and only put to paper in the last one explains the way Nature (and that includes us, of course,) behaves. Based on seven principles taught by Hermes Trismegistus (“Hermes Thrice Great”, also known as the great priest Thot to the Egyptians and the god Hermes “God of Wisdom” to the Greeks,) The Kybalion (not to be confused with the mystical Jewish teachings of Kabbalah,) is the basis for understanding how our world works. My mother once said to me, “Life is a decision”. I found this very interesting. But what is a decision?
Webster defines it as:
1. The act of deciding or settling a dispute or question by giving a judgment.
2. The act of making up one’s mind.
3. A judgment or conclusion reached or given.
4. Determination; firmness of mind.
5. Boxing: a victory on points instead of by a knockout. Read More…
