Dear HLife: If all illnesses start in the mind, what does a fibroid mean?
Dear HLifer:
You’re on the right track asking this question, because the minute something happens to your body, you need to focus on one thing: What is my body trying to tell me?
The physical body is a map to the mental “body”. Your physical body has many jobs and one of them is telling you exactly what is going on in your mind, which is something that you may not be able to see. The point of connection between the mind and the body are the emotions. There are healers who say that all problems are emotional, and that’s not untrue. A holistic approach to health looks at all bodies – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual – to get a whole picture of what is causing the imbalance. more …

The link between science and spirituality is my passion. So, it was a natural high when I heard Gregg Braden speak this past weekend at The 8th Annual Conscious Life Expo in Los Angeles about this very thing with relation to a much-discussed date in time: 2012. A New York Times best selling author, former computer geologist and systems designer, Bradden is a pioneer in bridging science and spirituality, as is demonstrated in his fifth book, Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age. Here are a few key points from his talk.
❂ 2012 is not the Apocalypse
“I see no scientific evidence for things ending in 2012”, Braden said during the workshop. Scenarios like those in the movie 2012 and some TV specials are far from the truth, and, in fact, Braden added, “I think 2012 is an important topic, but it is not THE topic.” He explained that this date is significant because it marks the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one and that this in itself is the interesting thing. He also added this: “The next 12-18 months are the most pivotal in our civilization,”, emphasizing that it is not one day in 2012 that matters, but how we handle all the changes that are leading us to that cycle end/beginning-point. “It’s not about a day, it’s more about a zone or window of time.” more …

Everyone is in detox mode in January – new year, new goals, new body. Great – let’s add to that: Let’s do a detox for the mind.
Detoxing the mind at the same time that we detox the body is extremely important because these two areas of you go hand-in-hand. Sometimes your body tells your mind what to do. But, mostly, it is your mind that is telling your body what to do. So, detoxing your mind is a natural step to detoxing your body.
What do we mean by detoxing the mind? Detoxing the mind means getting rid of triggers, thoughts, ideas, images and sounds that do not serve a positive purpose for your nourishment. As HLife is all about a healthy lifestyle and not a one-time temporary solution, it is also about maintaining awareness of what comes into and what goes out of your mind – being in control of your thoughts and focusing on healthy “mental food”. more …

Usually when people think of preparing for the new year, they automatically think, “how do I get a hot (or hotter) body?” or “how do I de-clutter my closet?” Not this year. This year, HLife will gear you away from the quick fixes that get you back to the same place you were the year before, with the same illness. As always, we will help you go straight to the root of things.
The time for keeping things on the surface is over. No more suppressing symptoms and not addressing the problem – it is time to move beyond the external and get acquainted with the origin of things. WE CREATE OUR REALITY. We are in charge of our lives, of our destiny. We can change and heal ourselves, our lives, and our planet. We don’t sugarcoat it here at HLife, so let’s get to the core, the root of all reality…THE MIND, baby! more …

We’re all thankful for what we have. The people we love, the friends we make, the house, the job, the car – all of these gifts add to our lives on a daily basis and, yes, we are and should definitely be thankful for them.
But there is more to be thankful for. Much more.
Today, I am thankful for my car breaking down, because this gave me the opportunity to be humble and ask for help – and for someone special to show me true friendship, for me to learn that you can be surprised by the people that you least expect to be, and for the Universe to reinforce my belief that everything – even what appears to be “bad luck” – happens for a good reason. more …

My mother once said to me, “Life is a decision”. I found this very interesting. But what is a decision?
Webster defines it as:
1. The act of deciding or settling a dispute or question by giving a judgment.
2. The act of making up one’s mind.
3. A judgment or conclusion reached or given.
4. Determination; firmness of mind.
5. Boxing: a victory on points instead of by a knockout. more …

Phosphorous has been called “the illumination mineral”. Its name comes from the Greek word ‘fosfóros’, which means “the bearer of light” (fos “light” + pherí “to bear, to carry”.). In his book “Spiritual Nutrition”, Gabriel Cousins, M.D states that, throughout history, phosphorous has been seen as the mineral that helps link the soul with matter. This is because phosphorous is necessary for neurological activity. Every time we have a thought we burn up phosphorous. However, for the brain to properly absorb phosphorous, it needs to be in the form of LECITHIN, which is different than the phosphorous that we need for building bones, another of its tasks. more …

Many things in life affect our health – from the foods we eat, the environment, or a gene in our DNA. But the bottom line is that all illnesses/problems start in the mind because negative thoughts are poison to your internal and external world. The root of the problem is in the mind, and starts with an undigested idea, what you could call negative-charged thought-energy.
An undigested idea is one that was not properly analyzed, classified or understood. This misunderstood thought lingers inside you like a splinter in your toe as you keep walking around life unaware. This activates a response in your emotional body, which sets your mood, and then develops an specific and ongoing emotional state. At this point and depending on the particular thought, you start “feeling” a variety of emotions like depression, anger, frustration, jealousy, anxiety, etc. If the root of these feelings does not get addressed and is not processed, understood and archived properly in your mental files, they wont be mentally digested. The undigested mental energy will then manifest in the physical body as a disease, perhaps and infection or some pain, etc. If it this process becomes a habit and the disease becomes chronic, well, you guessed it: sicknesses like cancer happens. more …
