A Time of Change

A TIme Of Change

Change is and has been in the air – in the economy, in the way we relate and communicate via technology – for a while now. We can all feel and see it. But are we personally engaging in that change? While most of us know that something has changed in the world in a collective way and we are also feeling this in our own selves somehow, we may not be able to fully embrace this change unless we bring that change along into our conscious minds. Foundations of Spirituality

Foundations of Spirituality“Spiritual Ascension”

“Mom, what is ‘spirituality’?” My daughters asked me one day. And from the depths of my soul, this is what emerged:

Spirituality is waking up each morning and aligning yourself with the Universe.
Spirituality is living your life in ORDER, and knowing all that this word means and encompasses.
Spirituality is knowing the laws of the Universe, and guiding your life in accordance to them.
Many times, spirituality is saying NO, because we are CONSCIOUS of the consequences that a ‘yes’ might bring. Read More…

Soul, Spirit, Man, Human – What’s the Difference and Where Do You Fit?

Difference Between Soul and Spirit | Man and Human

There is so much confusion on the difference between soul and spirit that we felt compelled to contribute our two cents. The more we know about who we are, how we operate, and what our options are, the better the life choices we are able to make. And, just as we take the time to know and understand our physical body through food and exercise, it is crucial to also know and understand the less dense bodies that animate this physical body, and the process of elevation that these more ethereal parts of ourselves go through. We would not exist without a what we call soul or spirit, so let’s see what’s beneath the tip of the iceberg of these components of ourselves. Read More…

Preparing The Spirit for 2010

Prep Spirit for 2010 2

What does it mean to be spiritually active? We ask ourselves daily questions about what we should wear, what movie to watch, which dessert to order. But we don’t ask ourselves much about our relationship to our spirit, beyond what we think about the world directly in front of us and what our senses can perceive.

Who am I? Who or what created me? Why am I here? Am I doing what I came here to do? If not, what do I need to do to be on track? Does this feel like the right path for me?  All of these questions lead you to one thing: a connection with your spirit. Read More…

Universal Laws: Where Science Meets Spirituality

Spirituality: Universal Laws Where Science Meets Spirituality

There is a place where mysticism and science coexist in harmony and that place is called Nature. Regardless of religion or belief and no matter what a new study shows or researcher concludes, Mother Nature – free of personal interest and human emotions – will always tell us The Truth.  A set of teachings that were passed down by word of mouth for centuries and only put to paper in the last one explains the way Nature (and that includes us, of course,) behaves. Based on seven principles taught by Hermes Trismegistus (“Hermes Thrice Great”, also known as the great priest Thot to the Egyptians and the god Hermes “God of Wisdom” to the Greeks,) The Kybalion (not to be confused with the mystical Jewish teachings of Kabbalah,) is the basis for understanding how our world works. Spirituality: What A Concept

Spirituality-What a ConceptImage by Mario Anthony

A lot is said about mind, body and spirit these days. In particular, the word spirituality is abuzz. It’s one of our favorite words and an entire category in itself here at HLife, so let’s look at what this concept really means.

What is spirituality? If we divide our body into physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, then spirituality would have to do with that last component: our spirit. In the simplest sense of the word, ‘spirit’ typically refers to that part of a being that is not matter. By this definition, spirituality would be that which pertains to being this non-matter part of our selves. Now, if we look at energy and matter as the same stuff just differing in density, then spirit would be the least dense stuff. Spirituality then, would be all those things that pertain to this least dense and lightest part of our selves. Read More…
